How to Activate GPRS and MMS Settings for Samsung mobile phones

These setting is for Philippine Network providers only: Globe Telecom, Smart Communication and SunCellular Network.



For Globe Subscribers: Manual Configuration

WAP Settings
Profile name: myGlobe GPRS
Home URL: http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp
Bearer: GPRS first
Proxy: Enable
Click GPRS Settings
Proxy IP: 203.177.42.214
Proxy Port: 8080
APN: www.globe.com.ph
Login ID : Leave it Blank
Password: Leave it Blank

MMS Settings
profile name: MyGlobe MMS
Server URL: http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc
Proxy: Enable
Click GPRS Settings
IP Address: 192.40.100.20
Port: 8080
APN: mms.globe.com.ph
Login ID: Blank
Password: Blank
Version: 1.0(295KB)

Globe OTA (Over the Air) Settings:

2G model and 3G Models
Text/Write GO D500,,1234
then send to 2951
When received configuration
open-> options-> then install





For SMART Subscribers: Manual Configuration

Profile name: SmartGPRS
Home URL: http://wap.smart.com.ph
Bearer: GPRS first
Proxy: Enable
Click GPRS Settings
Proxy IP: 10.102.61.46
Proxy Port: 8080
APN: smart1
Login ID : Leave it Blank
Password: Leave it Blank

MMS Settings
profile name: SmartMMS
Server URL: http://10.102.61.238:8002
Proxy: Enable
Click GPRS Settings
IP Address: 10.102.61.46
Port: 8080
APN: mms

***Note:
For Smart: The SIM card should be activated in order to use GPRS.
To Activate SIM card, type:
MMS ON send to 3401

After receiving text message from Smart, reboot phone.

SMART OTA (Over the Air) Settings:

2G model
Text/Write SET GPRS SAMD500
then send to 211
When received configuration
open-> options-> then install

3G model
Text/Write SET SAMD500
then send to 211
When received configuration
open-> options-> then install




For SunCellular Subscribers: Manual Configuration

Click GPRS Settings

Proxy Port: 8080

***Note:
For Suncellular: The SIM card should be activated in order to use GPRS.
To Activate SIM card, type:
ACTIVATE send to 2300
